Her long fingers flicked open the lid, the light whirring on, bright and white and blinding, her fingers skittering over the letters, settling on the pad as she read, hungrily read, as the feral wolf lapped up its food. WIP - NRftW fficSo soon, so soon…. November clenched her eyes together, refusing to shed a tear over so silly a notion, focusing on the ebbing white-green light, the sparks in against the black. Slowly, heavily, leadenly, she lifted her pale face to the mirror, wide green eyes staring back in horror, a horror themselves. A hand went up, smoothing over the tender, bruise shadows, the red edging the thick, black lashes. A ghost of red and white and black, a pale sliver of a woman, sat in her mirror. Her hands slipped over her jaw, up behind her small ears, tangling back the reddish hair, her slender neck –so pale- visible to the mirror. HWIP - NRftW ffic
